Land Acknowledgement
Colectiva Legal del Pueblo (CLP) acknowledges that the land on which we operate and serve our community is the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Duwamish, Suquamish, and Muckleshoot peoples, as well as other Indigenous nations who have lived on this land for thousands of years. We recognize the deep history, resilience, and ongoing connection of these communities to the land, water, and resources of this region.
As an organization committed to justice and equity, we honor the past and present contributions of Indigenous peoples and stand in solidarity with their ongoing struggles for sovereignty, rights, and respect. We are grateful for their stewardship of this land and acknowledge the displacement, violence, and injustice that Indigenous communities have faced and continue to confront.
We commit ourselves to learning, unlearning, and working to ensure that justice, solidarity, and care for all communities are at the heart of our actions. We also recognize that our work is part of a larger movement for justice that includes the land, its history, and the people who continue to care for it.
